I made this cake for my Dad awhile back but I think it would be perfect for Valentine's Day!
I made a double layer chocolate cake and frosted it with chocolate frosting. I put a layer of raspberry jam between the layers of cake too.
The sides of the basket are KitKat bars stuck into the frosting.
Colorful berries--strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries--look great on top but they look even better with a little melted strawberry jam drizzled over the top to glaze them.
